Setting up and Editing Gmail Signatures

This article will highlight how to create, add or edit a signature for your emails in Gmail.
Instructions
Step 1
Log in to your Gmail account.
Step 2
Once logged in, click on the gear icon and then See All Settings to access the full settings menu.
Step 3
Staying in the General tab, scroll down until you can see the Signaure options.
Step 4
If you have not created a signature before, the list will be blank. Press Create New to create your first signature.
Give your signature a name and then click Create.
Step 5
Once you have created the signature, a text box will appear next to it. Type your signing off message or closing here.
Step 6
If you already have a signature, you can add other ones as necessary. They will be listed and can be edited by clicking on them and editing the text in the box.
Please note, the text is instantly editable. The Pencil icon allows you to edit the title of the signature, and the Garbage Bin icon will delete the relevant signature.
Step 7
The Control Panel allows you to edit the formatting and style of your closure.
This will allow to you to (from left to right): change font, change text size, make text Bold, make text Italic, underline text, change the colour of text, add a web link, add a picture, align text or add a numbered list.
Clicking on the downward arrow will open more options.
These will allow to you to (from top to bottom): clear all formatting, add quotations, indent more, indent less or add a bulleted list.
Step 8
You can activate different signatures for different emails using the controls provided.
You can utilise one signature for new emails and another for replies.
Step 9
When you are satisfied with the changes you have made, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes.
Trouble Shooting
Make sure that you save your changes before exiting Settings, otherwise your changes will not be implemented.
