Welcome to Catholic Education Tasmania’s Learning Management System Public Space! This space has been made available for the public to learn more about the plan, progress and outcomes.


Vision

To build a centralised system to provide students, parents, staff, and the TCEO with a holistic view of student wellbeing, academic information and progression throughout the students learning journey from K-12 within Catholic Education Tasmania. 

 

Strategic objective

To provide a shared platform to enable and foster collaborative practices within and between CET Schools and Colleges including: 

  1. building and sharing course content 

  2. increasing opportunities for moderation 

  3. creating technological equity between schools and colleges 

  4. enable all students to access high quality digital content regardless of school of enrolment 

  5. opportunity to build digital capabilities within the teaching workforce 

  6. opportunity to embed best practice pedagogical practices across CET 

  7. opportunity to collaboratively build content

  8. support students learning across school sites in a supported and seamless way

The Steering Committee meets fortnightly, and the committee works through proposals from the LMS Critical Success Team. The committee will not review any proposals that have not been recommended by the LMS Critical Success Team.

Proposals must address

  • the the eight strategic objectives,

  • the benefit for CET as a whole registered system of schools,

  • the risk posed by the current state,

  • the risk posed by the recommend change,

  • the cost implications for the system (including FTE),
